- Ceramic Art is a process to make earthenware, ceramic ware and pottery. The first step for the process is that makes a certain shape with earth and then puts glaze on the pottery or makes patterns. The second step is that makes the pottery in the high temperature.
Pottery culture in Korea had developed and had had high-level pottery techniques from old ancient. Especially, celadon was exported to Arabia and the developed
techniques had crossed over to Japan and contributed to blossom the high pottery culture.
Pottery culture in Jeonnam
Jeollanamdo had had greatly developed pottery culture from old ancient. Celadon in Gangjin, grayish-blue-powered celadon in Muan and glazed pottery in Yeongam have excellent artistry in the world and ‘Gangjin Celadon festival’ is held in Gangjin annually to inform the celadon’s excellence.

Ceramic Art experiencing is a traditional experiencing event. You shape the clay and can make your own pottery. Gangjin Celadon Museum and Yeongam Ceramics Museum are offering ‘ceramics creation experiencing class.
