Summary Info

Mt. Jogye is located in Sunchon and 884m above the sea level. It was designated as a provincial park and as Historic Site and Scenic Beauty No. 8 in December 1979. It has Seonam Temple th the east of the mountain and Songgwang Temple to the west. It is surrounded by Mansubong and Mt. Mohu like a folding screen and clean water of the Seonam Temple joins Jukhak Stream to Leesa Stream. Around the temple, Wolchulbong, Janggunbong, Gittdaebong and Ilwolseok are lined up. Seonam Temple and Songgwang Temple which are very famous have been consistently loved by tourists. The shape of the mountain is gentle and not very high. It takes 3 and 4 hours to get to the peak. At Gulmokjae below the top of the mountain are restaurants selling barely rice and edible greens.
